UPDATE: ZOMBIEBER SPEAKS

A note from the late Todd Bieber:
“Unfortunately, I tell this tale from the grave…
I scheduled a series of video shoots on Tuesday for UCB Comedy dot com. Anthony King was directing two Blackout videos in the morning and I was directing two in the afternoon at Celeste Ballard’s apartment in the LES. On Saturday afternoon I decided to cast Jim Santengeli and Sue Galloway for one of my videos — as they are excellent performers. Twenty-four hours later I opened my envelope and who is staring up at me? Mr. James Santageli. I instantly knew that Tuesday would be a prime opportunity to kill my target, but I wanted to be ethical. I couldn’t kill him while we were shooting — I’d consider that working and it wouldn’t be a fair kill.
My plan was to wait until the shoot finished and then yell “Jim Santageli is wrapped” — and then shoot him. It was all very epic and cinematic in my mind.
The morning shoots went well. Anthony wrapped his productions. We broke for lunch. I returned early for lunch to retrieve my gun from my car. I ran upstairs to unlock the apartment (my car keys were locked in the apartment) only to find that we were LOCKED OUT OF THE APARTMENT. My keys, my gun, (and less importantly) our shoot location were completely inaccessible. Jim and Sue arrived as I struggled with the door. I called Celeste and she had a spare set of keys at her work. Jim and Sue decided to go for lunch while I retrieved the keys to the apartment. Now — luckily I kept a spare set of keys tied under my car. I ran outside and quickly crawled under the car, untied the keys, jumped in the car, grabbed my gun.
At that exact moment Jim and Sue exited the building. I beckoned Jim to my car window, raised my gun, and shot him. He screamed “No!” I drove away laughing.
The rest of the shoot went well.”
Good to know. Glad we had this little seance.
